Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
These terms govern your use of ShookOn, operated by Boulder & Beam in Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
Not legal advice
ShookOn is a drafting and organization tool. The scope pages, Schedule A exhibits, and other documents it helps you produce are drafting aids, not legal advice, and ShookOn is not a law firm. You are solely responsible for the contracts you issue and for ensuring they are accurate, complete, and appropriate for your job and jurisdiction. We strongly recommend having your contracts and any scope document reviewed by a qualified professional before you rely on them. ShookOn makes no representation that its output is legally sufficient for any particular purpose.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You must be authorized to enter any client or project information you add.
Your content
You retain ownership of the project content you create in ShookOn. You grant us the limited right to store and process it to provide the service. We may use aggregated, anonymized usage data — which does not identify you or your clients — to improve the product.
Our content
ShookOn, including its software, scope library, and interview logic, is owned by us and provided for your use under these terms. You may not copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service.
Acceptable use
Do not use ShookOn to violate any law, infringe others' rights, upload content you have no right to, or attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to the service or other accounts' data.
Plans and billing
ShookOn offers a free tier and paid plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis and may be cancelled at any time; your documents remain available to you. Prices for standard plans may change on notice. Any promotional or founding-member pricing is subject to its stated terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShookOn and Boulder & Beam will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any dispute arising from a contract or scope you issue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using ShookOn at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. On termination you may request an export or deletion of your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
